Chapel of St. Gertrude

The chapel of St. Gertrude's Hospital is located within the territory of our parish of St. Helena. The hospital is one of ten Catholic hospitals in Berlin and is located near Heidelberger Platz, which has good transport connections.

As both a chapel and a Catholic hospital, St. Gertrude's is a centre of church life within the parish. Every morning, services are held in the chapel, and devotions and adoration take place several times a week at various times. At the beginning and end of the day, Lauds are prayed in the chapel at 7:30 a.m. and Vespers at 6 p.m. (Vespers are omitted on Wednesdays).

Pastoral care is provided by Fr. Adrian Kunert SJ and the Sisters of the Blessed Virgin and Martyr Catherine (St. Catherine's Sisters).
